This is a work-in-progress, the opening of a larger vaudeville about the end of the world. I wrote it, recorded it on my computer, sent it over to the UK where my brilliant partner Will Todd composed the underscoring over night. Let me know what you think.
Track1 Apoc Wow Rant 1:
David,
I think you should read 1001 by Jazon Grote. I think you’d dig it. This is creepy and cool. thanks for sharing.
Love, Pierre
David: I have listened to this three times to catch every nuance.
It’s terrifying because it is entirely logical. Great stuff. – xx Paul
Absolutely brilliant – Simpatico and Todd at their best! I am and will remain, your biggest fan. When does the fun start??? xoxox
Terrific. Terrific and terrifying. The darkest worries hiding in the psyches of all liberals. Even as we chant,”Yes we can”, we do worry, “But what if we CAN’T”?
I had this incredible feeling of deja vu when while listening to this but also a feeling of presentiment. It’s very ominous. It is reminding me a little of the radio performer Joe Frank- his dark stories. it’s excellent. You are expressing deeply rooted fears. keep going…
David Sim-pitty-pat-ico,
OMG in H. I think I waited so long to listen because I knew it would be a glimpse of a future I couldn’t afford myself to imagine before “The Great Black Hope” swooped in to save the day.
Frightening and hilarious and deep and buck, as you are, my love. Mr. Todd did a splendid job on the music; perfectly supports the poem.
Could you please provide the text? I want to stitch it into a sampler. You know, for the holidays.
Loving you is easy because you’re what? Beautiful. xoxo
